Learning and school apps for Dubai students, parents and teachers.

Codeeo provides education app development Dubai schools, nurseries, training institutes and universities use to bring lessons, homework, attendance, timetables and parent communication into one app. Students open it to learn and submit work. Parents open it to see progress, read school notices, track the bus and settle fees. Teachers and administrators run it from a dashboard that fits the way your institution already works, in Arabic and English.

Families in Dubai often have children in different schools, sometimes on different curricula. A school app that is clear, quick and respectful of children's data earns trust from parents who already juggle several platforms every week. We build for that reality.

What the app can include

Features students, parents and staff use every school day.

Education in Dubai is unusually varied. Private schools follow British, American, IB, Indian and other curricula under the oversight of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, which also oversees early childhood centres, training institutes and higher education providers in Dubai's free zones. Universities outside the free zones are licensed and accredited at federal level through the Commission for Academic Accreditation. Each kind of institution needs different things from an app, and each parent community has its own expectations. Below are the components we build most often. We help you pick a first release that solves a real daily problem, such as scattered notices or homework that never reaches home, instead of a long feature list that nobody adopts. Everything is designed in Arabic and English from the first wireframe, with right to left layouts and wording checked by native speakers.

Explain your project
  • Lessons and course content

Video lessons, reading material, worksheets and quizzes organised by year group, subject and term. Teachers upload once and assign to the classes that need it. Content can stay available offline on the student's device, which helps on long bus rides or at home when the connection is weak. Teachers can see which students opened each resource and for how long.

Learning material in one place instead of five links.

  • Homework and assignments

Teachers set work with due dates and marking criteria; students submit photos, files or typed answers; marks and comments come back in the app. Parents see what is due this week without asking their child, and teachers see who has not submitted. Late submissions are flagged, and teachers can grant extensions to individual students.

Homework stops getting lost between school and home.

  • Parent view with multiple children

One parent login covers several children, even in different grades or sections, with a simple switch between them. Both parents and an authorised guardian can have their own access, each with permissions the school controls. Separated parents can each receive the information the school is permitted to share with them.

One app for the whole family's school life.

  • Attendance and timetables

Daily attendance taken by teachers on a tablet or phone, with absence alerts to parents and a form for parents to report sickness or leave in advance. Timetables update when a lesson moves, so students see the change before they walk to the wrong room. Attendance summaries feed the registers your school is required to keep.

Absences noticed and explained on the same morning.

  • School notices and messaging

Announcements by school, grade or class, read receipts on important notices, and controlled two-way messaging between parents and teachers. The school sets office hours for messaging so teachers are not answering questions late at night.

Notices reach parents and the school knows who has read them.

  • Fees and payments

Termly fee statements, payment by card or Apple Pay, payment plans where the school offers them, and receipts stored in the app. Separate payments for trips, uniforms or activities can be collected without paper slips. Fee reminders go out on a schedule the finance team controls, in Arabic or English.

Finance teams chase fewer overdue payments.

  • School transport tracking

Live bus location, pickup and drop-off confirmations and alerts when the bus is close to the stop. Bus supervisors mark each child on and off with the app, giving parents and the school a clear record of every trip to and from school.

Parents stop calling the office to ask where the bus is.

  • Reports and progress

Report cards, assessment results and teacher comments published to parents when the school is ready, with progress shown per subject over the year. Older students can see their own targets and track improvement. Results stay hidden until the publication date the school sets.

Progress conversations start from the same information.

  • Events, clubs and permissions

Parents see upcoming trips, sports fixtures, parent evenings and after-school clubs in a shared calendar, sign consent forms digitally and book slots for teacher meetings. Club places can be capped and allocated fairly, with waiting lists that move automatically when a family withdraws. Office staff no longer chase signed paper slips from bags at the end of the week.

Consent and bookings collected without paper.

  • Admissions and enrolment

Applications, document upload, assessment booking and offer acceptance handled in the app for new families, many of whom are relocating to Dubai and applying from abroad. Admissions staff track every application in one pipeline. Siblings of current students can be prioritised according to your admissions policy.

New families move from enquiry to enrolment with less paperwork.

Who this is for

Four education providers we often work with.

A primary school, a university and a weekend coding academy all teach, but they need very different apps. The age of the learner decides who uses the app most, children or parents, and the regulator decides what the institution must record. Ownership structure matters too, since groups with several schools need shared platforms and local control at once. These are the four situations we see most often among education providers in Dubai. For each one we suggest a different first release, because the daily problem the app must solve is different in each case.

01

A private K-12 school or school group

Parents are the main audience until students reach secondary school, so clarity for parents comes first. For groups running several campuses in Dubai, perhaps on different curricula, we build one platform with campus-level branding and settings. Data from the school's management information system feeds the app, so registers and reports are never typed twice. Each campus keeps its own notices, calendar and staff list.

Parents first in the early years, students later.

02

A nursery or early learning centre

Parents of very young children want photos, daily notes on meals and naps, and fast communication with staff. We design for short, frequent updates from busy staff, with strict controls on who can see each child's photos and records. Pickup authorisation for named adults gives the centre and parents peace of mind at the gate. Staff use a tablet mode with large buttons that works well with one hand.

Daily updates with tight photo controls.

03

A university or higher education provider

Students expect timetables, course materials, grades, campus news and service requests in one app. Institutions in Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park often serve international students who need visa, housing and orientation information early. We connect to your student information and learning management systems instead of duplicating them. Service requests to registration, finance and student affairs are tracked from submission to answer.

A front door to systems you already run.

04

A training institute or education start-up

Language centres, tutoring businesses and professional training providers usually sell courses directly to learners or parents. The app handles course discovery, booking, payment, attendance and certificates. Start-ups building a new learning product need something different again: a focused first version that tests the idea with real users before more is built. Certificates can be issued in the app when a learner completes a course.

Six steps from first workshop to a school-wide rollout.

  1. 01Workshops with your communityWe meet leadership, teachers, office staff and a group of parents at your campus in Dubai to hear where communication breaks down and what each group needs.
  2. 02Systems and data reviewWe list the systems you already use, such as your MIS, learning platform and finance software, and decide which ones the app reads from and writes to.
  3. 03Design for every age groupInterfaces are designed separately for parents, younger learners, older students and staff, in Arabic and English, then tested with real users from each group.
  4. 04Build in short cyclesWe release working parts every couple of weeks to a small group at the school, so feedback shapes the product while it is still being built.
  5. 05Launch at the right momentRelease is timed around the school calendar, with teacher training, parent guides in both languages and a help channel for the first weeks.
  6. 06Termly improvementUsage data and feedback from each term decide the next set of improvements, planned with your leadership team before the following term starts.

Technology

What we build this with.

Apps are typically built in Flutter or React Native, with a web portal for staff and hosting in a UAE cloud region when your data policy requires it. We integrate with common school information systems and learning platforms through their official APIs. Single sign-on through your existing Microsoft or Google accounts keeps staff logins simple.

Questions Dubai schools and institutes ask us.

It depends on scope and integrations, and we fix the plan after discovery.

A parent communication app connected to one information system is faster to deliver than a full learning platform with admissions, transport and fees. Integration work is often the deciding factor, because older school systems may need extra effort to connect. We also plan around the academic year: launching at the start of a term, with teachers trained beforehand, works far better than releasing in the middle of exams. The dates are written into the scope before design starts. A pilot with one year group or one campus is a sensible way to start.
