Point of sale software for Dubai shops and restaurants, built to your counter.

We handle POS software development Dubai businesses use at the counter, on the restaurant floor and in mall kiosks. Our team builds tablet and terminal checkouts, kitchen and stock screens and owner dashboards that issue FTA compliant VAT invoices, accept cards, Apple Pay and instalment providers, keep selling when the connection drops and report every sale across every branch in one place.

Off the shelf tills work until your process stops fitting them: a menu with modifiers the system cannot hold, a franchise that needs its own reporting, or a store group whose stock lives in an ERP the till ignores. That is where custom software earns its keep. It also means the code, the data and the roadmap belong to you rather than to a subscription vendor.

What the POS covers

Checkout, kitchen, stock and tax in one connected system.

A till in Dubai has to cope with things a generic system was never designed for. Customers pay with a phone more often than with cash. A lunchtime queue in Business Bay wants speed, while a dinner service in JBR wants split bills across six cards and a tip on each. Tourists in Dubai Mall ask for a tax free shopping form. Delivery orders arrive from three aggregators at once and the kitchen needs them on one screen. Then the Federal Tax Authority expects every tax invoice to carry the right details, and the UAE's phased e-invoicing programme will soon require structured invoices for business customers. We design the counter around how your staff actually sell, then connect the parts that sit behind it: kitchen, stock, accounting and tax. The feature list below is a menu, not a package; we choose the parts your outlets need first. Most outlets start with checkout, payments, tax and reporting, then add the rest.

Explain your project
  • Fast checkout on tablet or terminal

Product grids, barcode scanning, quick keys for best sellers, modifiers for food and variants for retail, with layouts tuned so a new cashier learns the screen in one shift. Runs on iPad, Android tablets or all in one terminals with receipt printers and cash drawers. Large buttons and colour cues help during a busy brunch in Jumeirah, when the person on the till may have started that morning.

Shorter queues and fewer keying errors at peak times.

  • Card terminals and digital wallets

Integration with the card terminal your acquiring bank supplies, so the amount is sent to the device and the result comes back without retyping. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay through the terminal, plus Tabby and Tamara for split payments in retail. Tips can be added per card, and split bills are settled without the cashier doing arithmetic on a notepad.

No more mismatched amounts between the till and the card machine.

  • VAT tax invoices

Tax invoices and simplified tax invoices with your TRN, VAT shown correctly per line, credit notes for refunds and Arabic and English wording where you want both. Zero rated and exempt items are configured once in the admin rather than corrected at the counter. Receipts can be printed, emailed or sent as a link, which many Dubai customers now prefer.

Receipts that hold up when the FTA asks to see them.

  • E-invoicing readiness

For businesses that sell to other companies, the POS stores invoice data in a structured form and can pass it to the accredited service provider you appoint under the UAE e-invoicing rules. We keep this as an integration layer so the provider can change without a rebuild. We test sample invoices with your provider before the mandatory date for your business arrives.

Business invoices ready for the new reporting route.

  • Offline selling

When the mall Wi-Fi drops, the till keeps taking orders, queues them locally and syncs when the connection returns, with conflict rules for stock and invoice numbering so nothing is duplicated or lost. Managers are alerted when a device has been offline longer than expected.

    Trading continues through outages.

  • Kitchen display and order routing

Dine-in, takeaway and aggregator orders appear on one kitchen screen, split by station, with timers and bump controls. Talabat, Deliveroo and Careem orders can be pulled in through their partner integrations where your account allows it. Items that run out are hidden from the aggregator menus automatically, which cuts cancelled orders.

One queue for the kitchen instead of four tablets.

  • Stock and purchasing

Stock deducted at sale, recipe costing for menus, transfers between outlets, reorder points and goods received notes. Retailers get serial and batch tracking where products need it. Wastage and staff meals are recorded separately so food cost reports are honest.

Owners know what is on the shelf without a weekend count.

  • Staff roles and shifts

PIN or card login, cashier, supervisor and manager permissions, void and discount approvals, shift opening and closing with cash counts and over or short reporting. Rotas can be shared with the attendance system if you run one.

Every void and discount has a name attached.

  • Loyalty and customer accounts

Phone number lookup at the counter, points or stamps, vouchers and customer accounts for corporate clients who settle monthly. Connects to your mobile app if you have one. Birthday offers and lapsed customer campaigns use consented contact details only.

    Regulars recognised at any branch.

  • Multi-branch reporting

Sales by hour, item, staff member, payment method and outlet, with exports for your accountant and live dashboards for owners who check numbers from their phone after closing. Head office can set prices centrally or let branch managers change them within limits.

One view of every outlet, updated as sales happen.

Where custom POS fits

Four Dubai businesses that outgrow a standard till.

Not every business needs its own point of sale. A single café with a short menu is usually well served by a subscription till. The case for a custom build gets stronger as you add outlets, unusual workflows or systems the till must talk to. As a POS software development company in Dubai, we would rather tell you early that a packaged product fits than build something you did not need. These are the situations where building pays off. Each one changes what the first release should contain.

01

A restaurant group with several concepts

Each brand has its own menu, modifiers and kitchen layout, yet the owner wants one set of numbers. We build a shared core with per brand configuration, so a burger outlet in City Walk and a fine dining room in DIFC use the same backend while looking and working differently at the counter. Launching a new concept becomes a configuration task, not another software project.

Shared core, separate menus and screens.

02

A retail chain across malls

Stores in Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Festival City need consistent pricing, live stock and returns at any branch. Custom POS software development lets the till read from your ERP or warehouse system, handle exchanges between stores and support the tourist tax refund process at the counter.

Returns at any branch, one stock position.

03

A franchise or licence holder

Franchise agreements often demand reporting the brand owner defines, and royalty calculations that depend on sales categories. We build those reports into the POS so each franchisee closes the day with the figures the agreement requires, without a separate spreadsheet. Brand owners can be given read only access to the figures they are entitled to see.

04

A service business that sells at a counter

Salons, clinics, car service centres and laundries sell time as well as products. Their POS needs bookings, packages, staff commission and deposits. We link checkout to the booking calendar so a customer pays for a service and the retail items in one transaction. Commission is calculated from the same records, which ends month end arguments.

Six stages from the shop floor to live tills.

  1. 01Shift observationWe spend time in your Dubai outlet during real trading, noting where staff wait, rekey or work around the current system, and which reports the owner actually reads.
  2. 02Hardware and payments planTablets, printers, scanners, cash drawers and the card terminals your bank provides are listed and tested together, so the design suits the devices you will use.
  3. 03Counter and admin designCheckout screens built for speed under pressure, and an admin for menus, prices, tax rates and staff that a manager can run without calling us.
  4. 04Tax and integration buildVAT invoice rules, accounting exports, ERP links, delivery aggregators and the e-invoicing layer are built and checked against sample transactions.
  5. 05Pilot outletOne outlet runs the new POS beside the old one for a period you choose, so we fix issues before every branch depends on it.
  6. 06Rollout and supportBranch by branch installation, staff training on site in Dubai, then a support line and regular releases as your menus, stores and tax rules change.

Technology

What we build this with.

Native or cross platform apps for the counter, a web admin, and a cloud backend with local storage on each device for offline trading. Hardware drivers and payment SDKs are chosen once we know the devices and the bank you already use. Updates roll out remotely outside trading hours, with a simple way back if a release misbehaves.

Questions owners ask about custom POS systems.

Observation, design, integration, a pilot outlet and a rollout.

We start in your outlet, watching a real shift and listing the devices, payment terminals and systems the till must connect to. From that we write a scope, design the counter and admin screens, build the tax and payment integrations, then pilot in one location. Only after the pilot do we install at other branches. Dates are written into the scope once integrations and their owners are confirmed. Custom POS software development in Dubai also means planning for Ramadan hours, seasonal menus and tourist peaks, so we ask about those early.
